Dermatology Pet Care opened its doors in January of 2022. Dr. Diana Simões, the owner and founder, had a vision for a dermatology clinic that offered exceptional veterinary medical care in a facility that was inviting, warm, and filled with light.

Dr. Diana Simões
Veterinary Dermatologist
Dr. Simões earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College, in Ohio, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California at Davis in 2009. After graduation, she completed a rigorous rotating specialty and emergency internship at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura, California with the intention of becoming a well-rounded general practitioner. After a couple of years in general practice, she soon came to terms with her love for dermatology. She immersed herself in the specialty, first pursuing a one-year veterinary dermatology internship in the New Jersey area, then a three-year residency with Dermatology for Animals in Arizona and California. In 2016, Dr. Simões completed her residency and became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD).
Dr. Simões started a successful satellite clinic in Oakland, CA for Dermatology for Animals and worked there for several years, until moving to the Sacramento area. For two years she worked in Rocklin and Modesto. In late 2021, Dr. Simões founded Dermatology Pet Care.
She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, and the American College of Veterinary Dermatology.
A few fun facts about Dr. Simões: she is a former Peace Corps volunteer, grew up in Portugal, speaks several languages, and has a serious sweet tooth. Outside the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family and her spirited group of pets.

ADRIANNA
Adrianna is one of our amazing Veterinary Technicians. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, pet sitting, and spending time with her husband and their senior pittie (Rosie) and two cats (Cec and Squirrely Dan).
BREANNE
Breanne is our experienced Lead Technician and RVT. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two kids, whether camping in the mountains, riding dirtbikes, horses, or simply enjoying the outdoors together. She also loves spending time with her dogs Pepper, Chili, Red Hot, and her horses, Sweetie and Hardy.
KATARINA
Katarina is one of our all-star Registered Veterinary Technicians. In her free time, she enjoys stand up paddling, hanging with her two cats, sewing, and cooking Nicaraguan food.
MONIKA
Monika leads our front desk but is also an amazing Veterinary Technician. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, painting, and hanging with her dawgs 🙂
